Enzo personally selects all the beers – draft and bottled ones – that are served at Il Cavallino Alato.
He of course privileges quality and origin: Enzo and Angela passionately search for Italian breweries on a daily basis.
The beer menu is updated weekly in order to ensure variety.
As a tribute to our territory and tradition and in an attempt to please even the more difficult crowds, we also serve Piedmontese wines that are produced by small wineries.
The wines are selected with passion and attention to quality by Enzo and Angela.
Chef Alessio Ferreri, nephew of Enzo and Angela, creates a menu that includes dishes typically served in pubs as well as Italian and foreigner specialities. The menus are designed to enhance the beers that are served at the pub and beer is very often a key ingredient.
Freshness and quality of the ingredients is of paramount importance.
We also can offer special dishes for vegetarians and kids.
Il Cavallino Alato was born from the desire to create something new and different and from Enzo’s passion for craft beer.
He started in 2002 with his wife Angela, when the world of craft beer was still a niche, in a tiny bar in an alley.
Now Il Cavallino Alato is one of the most renown pubs in Asti and is still unique. It is located in the beautiful and central Piazza Statuto square.
It is now also a tavern, a place where you can find an entire menu dedicated to food that compliments the always new craft beers.
It still is a pub – or “birrabar” as we like to call it – where fans of craft beer come from all over Italy and from abroad to taste something always new and different.
